Values Card Sort for iPhone and iPad · Last updated July 8, 2026
Values Card Sort ("the app") is designed so that your personal reflections stay personal.
What we collect
Nothing. The app has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party services. We, the developer, never see your data.
Where your data lives
Everything you create in the app, including your card sorts, rankings, reflection notes, and committed actions, is stored on your device.
If you turn on Sync with iCloud in Settings, your completed sorts are stored in your personal iCloud account so they appear on your other devices and survive the loss of a phone. This data moves directly between your devices and Apple's iCloud service under your Apple Account; it is never accessible to the developer. Apple's iCloud terms and privacy policy apply to that storage.
Sharing
Your results leave the app only when you choose to share or export them yourself, for example by sharing a PDF.
Optional permissions
- Notifications. Used only if you turn on a check-in reminder. Scheduled locally on your device.
- Face ID / Touch ID. Used only if you turn on the app lock, to unlock the app. Biometric data never leaves your device and is handled entirely by iOS.
Children
The app is a general-audience personal reflection tool and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
Disclaimer
Values Card Sort is a self-reflection exercise based on the public-domain Personal Values Card Sort (Miller, C'de Baca, Matthews & Wilbourne, 2001). It is not a medical device, does not provide diagnoses or treatment, and is not a substitute for care from a qualified professional.
