Values Card SortAn Everyday Insight tool

Privacy policy

Effective date: October 1, 2026

This policy covers myvaluescardsort.com, the Values Card Sort website from Everyday Insight LLC, and any email you send us. In it, “we” and “us” mean Everyday Insight LLC.

The Values Card Sort app has its own privacy policy at myvaluescardsort.com/app/privacy, which explains how the app handles what you write.

The short version

This website doesn’t ask for your name. It has no accounts, no sign-up or contact forms, no ads, and no cookies of its own. It keeps anonymous visit statistics that never identify you. If you email us, we use your message to reply. We don’t sell personal information or share it for advertising, and we never see what you write in our tools.

What you write in the online card sort

The online card sort on this site keeps your sort, your notes, and the deck you chose in your browser’s local storage, on your device. You can make a PDF of your results, save a sort to a file and load it again, copy your results, or print them. All of these are made in your browser.

Nothing you write is sent to us, and we can’t read it. To clear it, use Start over in the card sort, or clear this site’s data in your browser’s settings.

Visit statistics

Our websites keep anonymous visit statistics so we can see whether they’re useful. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics and a small counter of our own, both running on Cloudflare, the company that hosts our sites.

What they record

What they never record

Anything you write, which part of a page you touched beyond the simple yes or no, your IP address, or anything that identifies you. Neither one uses cookies. The only thing our counter can store in your browser is a note to stop counting visits, and it stores that only if the browser has been set to opt out of being counted.

How unique visitors are counted

To count unique visitors without cookies, our counter briefly combines your IP address and browser details with a random code, keeps only the scrambled result, and deletes the code every night at midnight Pacific time. The IP address itself is never stored. Without the code, the result can’t be traced to a person or used to link visits across days or websites.

Where this site links to the App Store or Google Play, the links carry a label naming our page, so Apple and Google can tell us how many downloads came from our sites. The label says nothing about you.

Your settings

If you choose Light or Dark in the appearance menu, or change a setting in the tool, your browser remembers it in its own storage so the next page opens the same way. It stays on your device and is never sent to us. Choosing Auto removes the appearance setting.

Cookies and fonts

This website doesn’t set cookies of its own. Cloudflare, which hosts it, may set a strictly necessary security cookie to tell real visitors apart from automated traffic. That cookie is not used for analytics or advertising.

Every font on this site is served from the site itself, so your browser doesn’t contact a font service.

Hosting and server logs

This website is served by Cloudflare. Like nearly every web host, Cloudflare processes standard technical information about each request, which can include your IP address, browser type, and the page requested, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. We don’t use this to identify or profile visitors. Cloudflare’s handling of that information is governed by Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

Email you send us

If you write to [email protected], we receive your email address, your name if your email includes it, your message, and anything you attach. We use it to reply and to help with what you asked. Our email service providers process these messages on our behalf.

Please don’t send us details about your health or about a crisis. We can’t provide care, and we don’t monitor email for emergencies.

How we use information

How we share information

We don’t sell personal information, and we don’t share it for targeted advertising. We share information only with service providers that run our website and email on our behalf, like Cloudflare. We may also disclose it when the law requires it, to protect the rights and safety of people or of Everyday Insight, or as part of a business transfer such as a merger or sale. If a transfer happens, this policy will continue to apply to the information it covers.

How long we keep it

Visit statistics are kept only as anonymous counts. We keep email only as long as we need it to help you, to keep a record of our correspondence, or to meet a legal obligation.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us what personal information we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it by emailing [email protected]. We may need to confirm that a request came from you. If you ask us to delete information, we will, unless the law requires us to keep it. We honor these requests wherever you live, and we won’t treat you differently for making one.

Because we don’t sell personal information or share it for advertising, there is nothing to opt out of. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. We don’t do either. We don’t track visitors across other websites, so the site works the same whether or not your browser sends a Do Not Track signal.

Children

This website isn’t directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from them. The youth deck is meant for a parent, therapist, or teacher to use with a child or teen. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, email [email protected] and we will delete it.

Not health care

Our tools are for education, reflection, and wellness support. Everyday Insight is not a health care provider and does not offer therapy, medical care, diagnosis, treatment, crisis services, or emergency support.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security.

People outside the United States

Everyday Insight LLC is based in the United States. If you use our website from elsewhere, your information may be processed in the United States or wherever we or our service providers operate.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the new version here with a new effective date. If a change is significant, we will say so on the website.

This policy is also available in Spanish. If the two versions differ, the English version controls.
